The red-billed quelea is one of the most numerous bird species in the world. These birds live in enormous flocks of hundreds of thousands or even a million individuals. Like other weavers, the males construct nests woven from strips of grass and leaves in branches. They are polygynous and can have up to dozens of spouses.
