A new season of Korkeasaari Zoo’s TV series is about to begin, giving you another chance to discover what daily life is like behind the scenes on the island of animals. The series can be watched on channel Nelonen every Wednesday at 7 p.m. starting 14 October, as well as on the Ruutu streaming service. The fourth season was filmed at Korkeasaari Zoo in spring and summer 2026.

In the animal world, spring is the season of newborns. In the fourth season we see desert foxes, wolverines and emperor tamarins welcoming their young. The episodes also introduce some of Korkeasaari Zoo’s other new arrivals and follow the everyday lives of the animals and their keepers as spring turns into summer.

The series also follows the start of the spring season at Korkeasaari Zoo’s Wildlife Hospital. Underweight seal pups, a Ural owl that fell down a chimney, and squirrel babies in need of help are brought in for treatment. As summer approaches, the number of patients increases, keeping the staff busy.

While waiting for the new season to begin, why not revisit the previous episodes? All three earlier seasons are available to stream for free on Ruutu. This makes it easy to get back into the spirit of the series already now!
