Malaysian forest scorpion
Heterometrus spinife
Scorpions are known for being venomous. The Malaysian forest scorpion’s venom is painful but not lethal for humans. This species, a distant relative of spiders, defends itself with its strong pincers. Malaysian forest scorpions also protect themselves by burrowing into the organic debris on the forest floor.
Scorpions glow under UV light.
