Shinisaurus crocodilurus
The small crocodile lizard, which resembles a crocodile, is found in the wild in only a few places in China and Vietnam. The main threat for crocodile lizards is illegal pet trade. The lizards thrive in streamside schrubs and in the water. During breeding season, the female gives birth to 2–12 offspring, which can look after themselves straight away.
