Interviews and Media Visits
We offer the media an opportunity to interview the Korkeasaari Zoo’s experts on zoo’s current topics, animals, and conservation work. We also warmly welcome journalists to visit, but all visits must be arranged in advance: a press card does not automatically grant admission.
We kindly ask that interview requests be submitted well in advance so that we can ensure the availability of our experts and arrange the interview smoothly. Our zookeepers work in shifts, so arranging interviews with animal care staff may take longer than usual due to overlapping schedules.
Korkeasaari Zoo’s communications team will assist with organizing interviews and media visits. The team is best reached on weekdays between 10 AM and 3 PM (Helsinki time). We aim to respond to all inquiries as promptly as possible.

Photo and Video Usage Rights
The photos and videos provided with press releases are always available for free use as illustrations in stories related to the content. Please credit the photographer and Korkeasaari Zoo as the source.
Our communications team documents most newsworthy events, and our archives contain a wealth of material on animals and the zoo through the years. This material is available free of charge for use in stories about Korkeasaari Zoo and its animals. For non-journalistic use, a fee is charged depending on the intended purpose.
