Arriving to the zoo

Korkeasaari Zoo is located on an island close to the Helsinki city center. Bridges connect the island to the mainland via both Mustikkamaa and Nihti, so you can visit the zoo all year round.

Tram no. 13 from Pasila

The tram stop closest to Korkeasaari is called Nihti. You can also hop on the tram from Kalasatama at the Redi shopping centre, for example.

Bus no. 16 from Helsinki centre

The bus stops nearest to the Korkeasaari Zoo are in the A zone of the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL). Bus number 16 takes passengers from the Helsinki Railway Square to Mustikkamaa. The bus leaves from the Railway Square next to the railway station and departs three times per hour. The estimated travel time is 20 minutes.

Metro via Kalasatama

There is about a kilometre’s walk from the metro stop at Kalasatama to the Korkeasaari ticket booth. The Kalasatama metro stop is situated in the Redi shopping centre.
